Development of adhesives

Humans have been pasting objects with dried resin since time immemorial. Ancient China and the Kingdom of Babylon used asphalt or cowhide as a binder. 

From the Middle Ages to modern times, Europe has started to use bone glue, casein made from milk or Arabic gum as a binder. Into the 20th century, mankind invented the application of Polymer Chemistry and petrochemical manufacturing of “synthetic binder” , its variety, strong bond. Production has also grown by leaps and bounds. Compared with starch, Gum Arabic and Formaldehyde, the chemical polymer binder made from epoxy or formaldehyde resin has stronger adhesive force, and has the characteristics of water and heat resistance.
